Packing for Your Trip

Clothing to Bring
Your suitcase for Georgia will depend on the season you're traveling. Georgia has a continental climate, meaning very cold winters and intense summer heat.
If you're planning to travel during summer, opt for lightweight cotton clothing, preferably for daytime wear. In the evening, a light sweatshirt should suffice.
If you're planning mountain excursions in summer, choose mid-season clothing, such as a mid-season jacket, a hat, and sturdy hiking shoes. Don't forget to pack a raincoat and/or an umbrella.
In winter, however, bring warm clothing (windbreaker, coat, sweater, jacket, etc.). If you're planning to ascend the Caucasus peaks, thermal wear (down jacket, sweater, pants, gilet, joggers, sweatshirt) is most appropriate. They provide warmth, dry quickly, are comfortable, breathable, and lightweight.
Other Essential Items for Your Suitcase
A trip is a chance to create memories, and what better way to share those memories with loved ones than with a camera? We recommend bringing a camera and one or more memory cards. Don't forget your charger, and if you have one, consider bringing a solar charger or an external power bank.
In a pouch to keep in your suitcase, place a photocopy of your passport, insurance, driver's license, and other important documents. Always keep your credit card on you.
We recommend bringing a flashlight. Georgian streets are poorly lit, especially when you venture away from main roads and busy areas.
