How to choose your circuit in Georgia?

Georgia fits into a small territory, but mountain roads set their own pace. For a first discovery, a circuit of 8 to 12 days allows you to combine Tbilissi, wine-growing Kakheti and a foray into the Caucasus around Kazbegi. With 13 to 17 days, you can add Svaneti and its medieval towers, or the Black Sea coast and subtropical Adjaria. Beyond that, travelers with three weeks can include Tusheti, accessible only from July to September via a pass at 2,900 meters.

Different types of circuits

We build three main families of itineraries. Cultural circuits highlight Orthodox religious art, qvevri winemaking inscribed on UNESCO's list, and supras (traditional meals) with local families in Kakheti. Adventure circuits offer the four-day trek Mestia-Ushguli in Svaneti, the ascent of Mount Kazbek, or horseback riding days in Tusheti. Family circuits alternate short visits, swimming in the Black Sea, cooking workshops and cable cars with views over Tbilissi, with stops designed for children aged 6 to 14.

What is the best season?

The ideal window runs from mid-May to mid-October. May and June offer flowering valleys and mild temperatures, around 22 degrees in Tbilissi. July-August are hot on the plains (up to 35 degrees) but perfect at altitude for hiking. September coincides with rtveli, the grape harvest in Kakheti, a particularly lively time. October reveals striking autumn colors in the Caucasus. Winter suits skiing in Gudauri, but closes access to Svaneti and several mountain regions.
